Nando's Piccadilly, London
We were thrilled to take on the challenge at Nando’s Piccadilly, London, a busy basement restaurant that had been struggling with damp and leaks for several years.
When Nando’s reached out to us for help, our first step was to understand exactly what was going on below the surface. Our team conducted detailed surveys and took moisture readings at various times of day to ensure every last trace of damp was identified and resolved before any restoration work began. Because the restaurant needed to keep running as usual, we planned every detail around their schedule. As soon as the doors closed at 10 p.m. on Sunday night, our team moved in and within just 48 hours, the transformation was complete.
The existing floor was lifted and removed from the site, and we prepared the surface by scarifying the concrete to remove old adhesive and failed latex. Two coats of an epoxy-based damp proof membrane (DPM) were then applied, followed by a beautiful 20 mm engineered oak floor, fully bonded to the DPM with precise expansion gaps around the perimeter.
Thanks to careful planning and a fantastic team effort, we finished 10 hours ahead of schedule. And because first impressions matter, we also sanded and sealed the entrance floor to give the space a flawless finishing touch, ready for Nando’s to welcome their guests back.
